La Bienfaisance, Château Sanctus 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, racy and offers good definition. It reveals notes of pulpy cassis, Boysenberry and more lightly wild strawberries associated with touches of ripe berry fruits, hints of minerality / clay as well as fine hints of spices, to a very discrete a hint of pepper and an imperceptible hint of limestone (in the background). The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, good definition, nice minerality, a fine stretched side as well as a tangy frame. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy / tangy blackberry, cassis and more slightly violet associated with touches of tangy wild raspberry, hints of racy / clay minerality, toasted / caramelized as well as fine hints of pepper and a subtle hint of almost vanilla. Nice savory notes at the end of the mouth / persistence. Tannins are smooth. Good length. Presence of a subtle hint of chocolate on the persistence.
