Karukera – L’Expression 2008 – Rhum Vieux Agricole (Guadeloupe)

It reveals notes of caramelization, rancio and small notes of marmalade associated with fine touches of dried lemon, hints of dried exotic fruits / dried apricot as well as fine / discreet hints of cedar, lemongrass / flowers and very discreet hints of vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built and offers a fine freshness, a fine suavity, elegance, a small richness, a fine unctuosity as well as minerality. On the palate this rum expresses notes of marmalade, crystallized lemon and small notes of crushed / fleshy Mirabelle plum associated with touches of molasses, caramelization / pâtisseries as well as a hint of blond tobacco, vanilla, a very discreet hint nutmeg and gray pepper.
