Joseph Phelps – Sauvignon blanc 2014 – St Helena – Napa Valley

The nose is aromatic and fat (bâtonnage). It reveals fine notes of citrus combined with a touch of lemon zest, white fruit, nectarine, exotic fruits (passion fruit and a hint of pineapple) as well as touches of coconut / vanilla oak. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acid frame, tension, freshness, harmony, fat and smoothness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of lemon and ripe white fruits combined with fine touches of passion fruit, nectarine and lemon zest. Good length.
