The nose is elegant, aromatic and offers a fine concentration as well as a small power and a fine grain. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, candied cassis, small notes of small crushed black berries associated with fine touches of candied redcurrant associated with fine touches of liquorice stick, plum, a subtle hint of grey pepper and dry tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful freshness, juiciness, a precise fruit, finely tight straightness, dynamism and minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe/pulpy cassis, very ripe wild blackberry, small notes of small crushed black fruits associated with touches of very ripe raspberry, very ripe small black fruits associated with hints of liquorice, dry tobacco, small very ripe red berries as well as hints of liquorice, dry tobacco, pruneau, grey pepper, a very discreet hint of roasted almond, cocoa and a subtle hint of underwood/almost animal. Tannins are well-built and very discreetly tight.
