It reveals notes of blackberry cream, plum and a hint of cassis jam associated with fine touches of chocolate, cardamom, a discreet hint of tea and a very fine / discreet hint of balsamic. The palate is suave, fleshy, well-balanced, a bit aerial and offers freshness, smoothness, tension and a mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry jam, Quetsche plum and fine touches of black berries, red fruits associated with slight notes of blueberry, touches of chocolate, toasted oak as well as fine notes of caramelization, hazelnut and a discreet hint of cardamom on the finish. Tannins are fine as well as relatively firm and young. Good length and persistence. The finish is suave.
