Jericho Canyon Vineyard – Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 – Napa Valley

Jericho Canyon Vineyard – Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 – Napa Valley

The nose is fruity, aromatic and quite full. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and touches of black cherry jam associated with slight notes of raspberry, chocolate as well as a hint of a cedar wood and a discreet hint of caramelized oak. The palate is fruity, mineral, relatively fat, relatively fleshy and offers a good structure, a small tension, suavity, juiciness as well as a mineral frame and a small creaminess. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, ripe black fruit (plum, blackberry …) and fine touches of red berries combined with touches of chocolate, fine hints of fresh raspberry as well as discreet touches of toasted oak and (very) slight hints of vanilla. Tannins are fine and slightly firm. Good length.
