Jean-Max Roger – Le Petit Clos 2021 – Menetou-Salon Morogues

The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color with green reflections. The nose is aromatic, floral and tangy. It offers the notes of fragrant and sweet white flowers (acacia, apple blossom, honeysuckle, field flowers), combined with notes of citrus fruits (lemon, lime, grapefruit juice), green apple, herbs fresh (cut grass, a touch of mint), as well as a chalky and slightly smoky mineral note (gunflint). On the palate, the wine is juicy, chiselled, fluid and light (in a good way). It expresses the flavors of lime juice, lemon, green apple, grapefruit, apple blossoms, as well as a fine, slightly smoky mineral note of gunflint. The finish is medium-long, lively, with salivating acidity and citrus notes.
