Jas d’Esclans Cru Classé Cuvée du loup Côtes de Provence 2016

Jas d’Esclans Cru Classé Cuvée du loup Côtes de Provence 2016

This wine is deep dark ruby, intense and shiny. The first nose is discreet with woody notes of toast but also of dark chocolate accompanied by black cherry jam. There is an eucalyptus freshness and also vanilla and coffee. With aeration, we find the tomato coulis with rosemary. It’s intense and deep. The attack is velvety. We find the woody notes of toast but above all of precious woods such as sandalwood and rosewood. There is also vanilla and cinnamon. The wine is round. There are black fruits such as blackberry, blackcurrant and cherry. We also find mint and undergrowth. The long finish is accompanied by tannins and black fruits. The whole is juicy with cocoa note and at the same time it’s a little bit closed, which reveals a potential of ageing.
