IlCortiglio – Vendemmia 2015 – Taurasi DOCG

The nose is finely tight and offers a small power. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of Boysen berry, small fruits, small notes of violet associated with small touches of small blue fruits, chamomile as well as fine hints of dry tobacco, a discreet hint of liquorice stick, hay, nutmeg, dark chocolate powder and a subtle hint of caramelization. The nose is fruity, finely tight and offers juiciness, minerality, a fine suavity as well as a certain tension, energy and a fine grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, juicy/acidulous violet plum, small notes of small black fruits associated with a touch of candied raspberry, violet flowers as well as hints of tobacco/cigar box, chamomile, black tea, discreet hints of dry herbs, dark chocolate and caramelization. Good length. Tannins are structuring and sightly tight.
