Il Cortiglio bio – 2015 – Taurasi DOP

The nose is fruity, fresh, delicate and offers gourmandise and a certain tension, precision. It expresses the notes of bright blackcurrant, morello cherry and small notes of bright blueberry, associated with touches of bright berries, almost a discreet hint of roasted in the background, a very discreet hint almost of sage, smoke/clove. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality, precision, a certain tension. It expresses notes of juicy/fresh bigarreau cherry, bright/fresh black berries and small notes of violet, associated with touches of toasted hazelnut, small bright red berries, as well as a subtle hint almost fresh rosemary in background and fine hints of sweet spices. The tannins are finely polished. Good length. A fine saline hint at the end of the mouth. A fine crystalline note in the background, and a pretty floral touch on the nose.
