Il Cerchio – Tinto Alicante 2012 – Maremma Toscana

The nose is powerful and racy. It reveals notes of black fruit combined with a few notes of spices, garrigue / laurel as well as a few slight woody notes (in the background) and discreet touches of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, ample, fat and offers a little minerality, some suavity and a slightly silky matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, crushed plum and red fruit associated with fine notes of strawberry, a touch of cherry as well as woody touches, sweet spices and a slight note of oak. Tannins are fine and quite present. Good length and persistence (fruity with notes of black berries). A good value!
