Hyde – N°4 Presidents Cask 1922 – Single Malt, Irish Whiskey

The nose is fruity, well-built, racy and offers a good definition, a small gourmandise as well as a beautifully fine power. It reveals notes of rancio, toasted, hazelnut and a touch of dried orange, tangerine combined with slight touches of peach as well as hints of peat, hazelnut, barley and very discreet hints of molasses. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built, elegant and offers a small suavity, a beautiful grain, a fine freshness (in the background), gourmandise, fat, a very fine unctuosity, a fine straightness, precision as well as ‘a good definition. On the palate, this Whiskey expresses notes of rancio, caramelized mandarin, caramelized yellow peach and small notes of caramelization, cedar, peat combined with a touch of apricot, discreet hints of rosewood, quenette as well as very discreet hints of dried citrus, patisseries, cinnamon and an imperceptible hint of molasses.
