Hubert de Boüard – Cabernet Franc 2018 – Bordeaux

The nose is fruity and offers power as well as concentration/tension. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy/ripe raspberry and small notes of flowers (cornflower, a hint of iris) associated with fine touches of liquorice as well a a very discreet hint of spices. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, minerlaity, gourmandize, suavity, tension, straightness, a small concentration as well as juicy/fresh frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, juicy/fresh cassis and small notes of juicy/fresh cherry associated with small touches of flowers as well as subtle hints of liquorice and spices. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
