HSE – Rhum Agricole Extra Vieux – 2005 Sauternes Finish – Martinique

The nose is fruity, relatively incisive, relatively gourmand and offers a fine freshness and a delicate sweetness (maybe come from Sauternes casks). It reveals notes of candied grape, candied lemon and a discreet hint of candied pear associated with fine notes of brown sugar, slight notes of caramelization, quenette as well as discreet notes of toasted oak, gingerbread and tarte Tatin. The mouth is fruity, elegant, aerial, fine, precise and offers a fine freshness, a nice fat as well as suavity. On the palate this Rum expresses notes of candied citrus (tangerine, lemon, kumquat) associated with fine notes of Tarte Tatin, honey, apple as well as discreet notes of sugarcane, caramel, dried fruit and slight notes of toasted oak. Good length and aromatic persistence.
