Honig – Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 – Napa Valley 

The nose is powerful, aromatic and offers a slight intensity. It reveals notes of juicy / fleshy cassis and small notes of wild strawberry, blackberry associated with touches of white pepper, violet, hints of black cherry as well as small hints of liquorice, black olive and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, round, a bit powerful and offers a good definition, a good suavity, gourmandise, a good structure, a certain finesse, a slight straightness, a slight unctuosity, a slight freshness as well as a good guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, cassis and small notes of blackberry associated with small / slight touches of wild strawberry, fleshy red wild berries as well as small touches of Zan, chocolate, dried tobacco, caramelization and very discreet hints of hazelnut on the finish / persistence. Tannins are well-built and very slightly chewy. The finish / persistence is slightly powerful.
