The nose is elegant and offers a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as a very fine richness (in the background). This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of blackberry, ripe raspberry and more slightly ripe red berries, liquorice associated with touches of cornflower, cassis, graphite, fine hints of chocolate, Cuben pepper, Ceylan tea as well as very discreet hints of spices and oak (in the background). The palate is fruity, fresh, well-balanced, precise, elegant and offers minerality, tension, a mineral frame, a fine juiciness as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain ( a grain very finely tight). On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy raspberry, fleshy blackberry and more slightly toasted, cocoa bean associated with touches of fleshy cassis, liquorice stick, hints of cherry/ripe red berries, toasted, fine hints of coffee as well as an imperceptible hint of tea, graphite (in the background) and almond (in the background).
