Henri Magnien 2016 – Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, racy and slightly powerful. It reveals notes of cherry, plum and slight touches of small berries associated with a hint of earth / leather, slight touches of Ceylon tea, Cuben pepper and spices. The palate is fruity, juicy, suave and offers a slight mineral frame (in the background), a beautiful definition, freshness, straightness, tension as well as a beautiful silky, suave and gourmande matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cherry, redcurrant and slight notes of plum associated with subtle touches of mocha, toasted / caramelized oak, vanilla as well as slight touches of minerality racy (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of earth. Tannins are elegant. Good persistence.
