The nose is gourmand, elegant, racy and offers a slight richness. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of crushed blackberries, crushed black plums and slight notes of liquorice, violet combined with a hint of cardamom, Bourbon vanilla, caramelized oak as well as an a touch of toasted hazelnut (in the background). The palate is juicy, fruity, well-balanced, mineral (racy), very slightly tight, racy and offers a good dynamism, a nice precision / definition, a slight suavity, a nice finesse as well as a slight acid frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of plum, crushed black cherry, cassis and slight touches of red cherry associated with a discreet hint of juicy redcurrant, touches of Zan, mocha as well as a discreet touch of flowers / cassis bud, discreet hints of Bourbon vanilla / caramelization on the finish. Tannins are fine and slightly chewy. Good length. A good and fine wine !
