The nose is aromatic, elegant, quite powerful and straight. It reveals notes of blackberry, plum and slight notes of wild strawberry combined with touches of Sichuan pepper, liquorice, Bourbon vanilla as well as a discreet hint of caramelized oak. The palate is fruity, gourmand, elegant, silky, fine, suave, beautifully racy and offers a nice acid frame, a small fat, complexity, a nice straightness as well as a nice grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, crushed redcurrant and slight notes of plum / blueberry combined with touches of racy minerality, graphite, Zan as well as discreet touches of spices and an imperceptible touch of cocoa (in the background). Tannins are fine and very slightly chewy. Good aromatic length. Beautiful and gourmande persistence with touches of almond, vanilla and caramelization.
