Henri et Gilles Remoriquet – Au-dessus des Malconsorts 2019 – Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru

The nose is elegant, racy and offers precision as well as a certain small power in delicacy / all in control. It reveals notes of rose, juicy/fresh cassis and small notes of cherry associated with small touches of juicy small red fruits, lily, racy minerality, sense of place as well as a very discreet hint of pink pepper and a subtle hint of spices. The mouth is beautifully juicy, fresh and offers straightness in delicacy, a small power, a small restrained side as well as complexity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy raspberry, bright cherry and small notes of juicy/pulpy cassis associated with a touch of fresh blackberry, tonka bean as well as a hint of bay leaf, rose, a subtle hint of chocolate, racy minerality, discreet toasted hints and an imperceptible hint of flowers bud. Tannins are racy and structuring. A beautiful work on the bitterness, especially on the finish.
