Henri de Villamonte – Les Belles Filles 2020 – Pernand-Vergelesse

The nose is fruity and offers some concentration, a slight richness as well as a slight creaminess in freshness. It reveals notes of creamy strawberry, creamy wild blackcurrant, and more slightly notes of fleshy plum combined with fine touches of lilac, violet, and a discreet hint of spice. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, a slight spherical side as well as a nice brightness and good definition of the fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright cherry, bright purple plum, and more slightly notes of cornflower/violet associated with touches of pulpy red fruits as well as slight hints of mocha and fresh blond tobacco. A discreet hint of root in the finish. A good job on the good bitterness. The tannins are supple, fresh, and suave.
