Hecht & Bannier 2019 – Faugères

The nose is aromatic and offers deepness, density as well as a slightly tight grain and power. It reveals notes of small wild black fruits, violet plum, small notes of small wild red berries associated with touches of camphor, black olive, toasted/grilled oak as well as a hint of incense, black pepper, flowers, an imperceptible hint of Badiane an garrigue. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly tight and offers minerality, freshness, tension, straightness as well as a small suavity and dynamism. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, black blackberry, small notes of black olive associated with touches of small wild red berries as well as hints of incense, graphite, spices, very fine hints of tobacco and cocoa. Good length. Tannins are well-built and structuring.
