Haider – Chardonnay 2015, Nektaressenz – Burgenland

The nose is elegant, harmonious and offers freshness/minerality. It reveals notes of candied lemon and candied orange zests associated with small touches of cumin, mandarin as well as fine hints of fleshy/juicy Mirabelle plum, saffron and a very discreet hint of candied lemon. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, precise and offers roundness, gourmandize as well as a beautiful unctuosity. Full of balance even despite the sugar level. On the palate this wine expresses notes of mandarin, candied lemon and small notes of pineapple in syrup associated with fine touches of candied nectarine as well as a hint of elderberry flowers, honey, pâtisseries and a hint of toasted almond. Good length. Great / Beautiful persistence.
