Grand Vin de Château de Ricaud 2012 – Cadillac Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is fruity and finely powerful. It reveals notes of cassis, cassis bud and fine notes of crushed blackberry associated with a hint of raspberry as well as fine notes of spice, oak and vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, relatively fat and offers a fine minerality and a good volume. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, fresh cherry and cassis combined with fine hints of plum, chocolate and a (very) discreet hint of bell pepper and spices. Tannins are well built and slightly firm. Good length.
