Gassies 2020 – Margaux

Gassies 2020 – Margaux

On the nose it is fruity, juicy, a certain freshness and a little concentration/power as well as finely tight grain. It reveals the notes of fresh/pulpy wild blackberry, pulpy/fresh wild cassis and more lightly spiced with hints of morello cherry, crushed raspberry, cherry blossom as well as hints of nutmeg, a very discreet hint of vanilla and an imperceptible almost saline edge. On the mouth it is fruity, balanced and offers a juicy/fresh structure, smoothness, energy, a little tension, roundness, a nice freshness/precision, volume/fullness and a certain controlled richness. The wine express pulpy/juicy raspberry, pulpy/juicy cherry and more lightly of violet associated with touches of bright cassis as well as hints of tobacco, licorice and a subtle hint of vanilla (in the background). The tannins are precise, well conducted and finely mellow. Good length.
