The wine shows a medium ruby colour, slightly brightening on the rim. The nose is intense, gourmet, revealing notes of ripe black cherries, blackberries, a touch of cacao and chocolate, nuances of noble wood and tobacco. The palate is dense, concentrated with a lot of fruit sweetness, spiciness and bold, slightly drying, polished tannins. The wine is packed with spices and oaky notes, underlaid by nuances of ripe fresh and dried cherries, a touch of balsamic, hints of macchia and dried herbs. The finish is warming, persistent and powerful.
