Fruitière de Voiteur – Vin Jaune 2015 – Côtes du Jura

The nose is fruity, taut, a little tight and offers some spiciness. There are notes of buttered apple, crushed yellow fruits and, to a lesser extent, fleshy pear, combined with hints of butter and a subtle vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced, juicy/fresh and offers a mineral/fresh backbone and a nice energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quince, fresh/pulpy yellow fruits and more slightly lemon blossom combined with fine hints of fresh apple, beeswax, fresh/toasted oak and a very discreet hint of bitterness/toastiness. Fine salinity on the finish/persistence. An imperceptible hint of fresh mushrooms on the finish.
