Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno 2015 – Nebbiolo D’Alba

The nose is mineral, fruity and very slightly tight. It reveals notes of ripe wild red berries, blackberry and bigarreau cherry associated with small notes of wild blackberry, black berry, cocoa / dark chocolate as well as discreet hints of blond tobacco, olive and nutmeg. The palate is fresh, mineral, fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a beautiful suavity, a beautiful mineral frame, delicacy as well as a small gourmandise. On the palate wine expresses small notes of black cherry, blackberry and small notes of wild berries associated with small touches of elderberry, rose / iris as well as discreet hints of liquorice / Zan, blond tobacco, caramelization and an imperceptible hint of almond on the finish. Tannins are structuring. Good length.
