Francis Blanchet – Silice 2022 – Pouilly-Fumé

The wine has a pale lemon color with green reflections. The nose is delicate, mineral and floral. It expresses subtle smoky notes of gunflint, a chalky touch, a fresh floral bouquet (apple blossom, elderflower, field flowers), combined with notes of ripe citrus fruits (yellow lemon, lemon zest, lime), fresh pineapple, crunchy apricot, tangy green apple, as well as a subtle herbaceous note (oregano). On the palate, the wine is straightforward, lively, with salivating acidity. It expresses notes of citrus fruits (lime, lemon zest, lemon), green apple, a touch of gooseberries, as well as floral (lemon tree flowers, field flowers) and mineral notes (flint, chalk) in the background. The finish is quite persistent, tangy and salivating. A fresh and straightforward wine.
