Francis Beck – Riesling 2015 – Sélection de Grains Nobles – Alsace

The nose is aromatic, well-built and offers elegance. It reveals notes of peach in syrup, candied apple and slight notes of verbena associated with slight touches of quenette, candied lemon as well as an imperceptible hint of wood / almond (in the background). The palate is fruity, well balanced, soft and offers delicacy, finesse as well as a beautiful acid frame (on citrus) and juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied lemon, candied mandarine and slight notes of vine peach in syrup associated with a discreet touch of zests, passion fruits as well as very discreet hints of honey (on the finish), a subtle hint of biscuit and an imperceptible touch of vanilla (in the background). Beautiful persistence.
