Fontanafredda Contessa Rosa Rosè brut 2017 – Alta Langa Riserva Rosato

The nose is complex and expresses distinct spicy notes of white pepper and nutmeg, associated with aromas of dried rose, rosehip, a touch of dried red apple, pink grapefruit, dried raspberry, fresh raspberry, fresh strawberry, cranberries and dried mint in the background. The palate is finely peppery, tangy and bitter (good grapefruit bitterness), with pleasant fruity (strawberry, raspberry, cranberries) and menthol notes. The finish is lively and chiselled, a little herbaceous, but balanced, with a hint of chalky minerality. The finish is long, with salivating acidity.
