Florent Garaudet – Vieilles Vignes 2017 – Monthelie

The nose is fruity, racy and offers complexity, freshness and a fine floral / varietal side. It reveals notes of cherry, cherry blossoms and small notes of purple plum associated with touches of spices, nutmeg, racy minerality / terroir minerality as well as fine hints of camphor and an imperceptible hint of chocolate. The palate is fruity and offers suavity, juiciness, a beautiful acidulous frame, silkiness, roundness, delicacy as well as a certain finesse. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy red plum, cherry and small notes of crunchy raspberry associated with touches of lily, fresh cornflower as well as hints of graphite, camphor, chocolate, a subtle hint toasted hint and nutmeg. Beautiful, fine, precise and gourmand tannins. A small chewy side on the finish / persistence.
