Floral dos Quantro Ventos – 2016 Superior – Douro 

The nose is fruity, well-built and offers a certain delicacy and elegance. It reveals notes of small wild berries, blackberry and small notes of grove associated with small touches of crushed cassis, plum, red berries as well as very discreet hints of olive, spices, toasted and an imperceptible hint of liquorice stick. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers a beautiful definition, suavity, delicacy, precision, a slight mineral frame, a very slight tension as well as a good structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of wild black berries, blueberry and small notes of black cherry associated with small touches of grove, olive, liquorice, violet as well as very discreet toasted hints. Tannins are fine and well-built. There are an imperceptible hint of cocoa and Zan on the persistence.
