Fleur de Scène 2018 – Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is fruity and offers freshness, a good definition as well as a fine intensity. It reveals notes of juicy cassis, juicy blackberry and small notes of red fruits associated with touches of flowers, fine hints of liquorice stick, toasted as well as a discreet hint of nutmeg and Cuben pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a mineral frame, precision, a small tension, suavity as well as gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/crunchy cassis, crunchy blueberry and small notes of juicy/crunchy raspberry associated with small touches of flowers, fine hints of liquorice stick as well as a subtle hint of toasted and an imperceptible hint of vanilla flowers. Tannins are elegant and well-built. Good length.
