Fleur de Fonplegade 2015 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Fleur de Fonplegade 2015 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is aromatic. It reveals slight notes of flowers (violet, iris) and blackberry associated with a hint of cassis, boysenberry, strawberry as well as touches of toasted oak. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers gourmandise, a beautiful suavity, fat, an acid frame as well as a slight unctuosity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of crushed/fleshy boysenberry, ripe strawberry and slight notes of cassis associated with hints of redcurrant, toasted oak as well as a subtle hint of vanilla and chocolate. Tannins are fine and very slightly dusty. Good length. There is a hint of mocha and coffee on the persistence.
