Fattoria Montecchio 2013 – Chianti Classico Riserva

The nose is fruity, relatively fine and finely powerful. It reveals notes of blackberry, crushed cassis and slight notes of small red fruits combined with slight notes of spices and a discreet hint of gray pepper. The palate is fruity, fine, mineral, juicy, nicely round and offers a fine acid frame, fat and suavity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of cherry, raspberry jam and slight notes of blackberry combined with a hint of blueberry, slight spicy notes, toasted oak as well as a discreet hint of licorice and gray pepper. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length.
