Erdevik – Marlon Delon 2016

Erdevik – Marlon Delon 2016

The nose is spicy and offers concentration, intensity, complexity and fine pungency. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, morello cherry and more slightly violet combined with delicate touches of racy minerality (terroir), eucalyptus, camphor as well as fine peppercorns, star anise and subtle hints of blond tobacco. The palate is fruity, balanced and reveals juiciness, smoothness, definition, depth, gourmandize, acidity, minerality, a lot of delicacy in its concentration and a good balance in its maturity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of Morello cherry, crushed boysenberry and, more slightly, blueberry, combined with hints of violet/quetsche plum, wild strawberry and hints of sweet blond tobacco. There is an imperceptible hint of orange and a subtle touch of pepper in the background. The tannins are racy and solid. Good length.
