The nose is fruity, crunchy, fresh, frank and offers power as well as a good structure. It reveals noes of ripe/fleshy wild blackberry, wild strawberry and small notes of flowers (cornflower, iris) associated with fine touches of nutmeg, cardamom as well as a very discreet hint of liquorice stick and black tea. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good freshness, minerality, tension/straightness, a very finely tight grain as well as a fresh/mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy cassis and small notes of crunchy wild raspberry associated with small touches of crunchy red berries, flowers as well as an imperceptible varietal hint (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length. Good (and gourmande) persistene. Very fine hints of mocha, toasted/caramelized and cardamom on the finish/persistence.
