The Riesling-focused Egon Müller estate dates from 1797 and is particularly renowned for its Scharzhofberger wines. These wines are produced from just over 8 hectares of south-facing vines planted in the prestigious Scharzhofberg vineyard in Wiltingen, Mosel. Like his father before him, Egon Müller IV is one of the world’s established masters of sweet and dessert winemaking. This wine is taut and racy, with dazzling overripe orchard fruits, Ginger, star anise and even an exotic side ; it’ severely mineral, crushed slate, and have an endless finish. 2015 being a fantastic vintage in Mosel, the wine shows a lavish expression filled with purity and raciness.
