The nose is fruity, elegant, racy and offers a nice delicate power and precision. There are notes of fresh/juicy bigarreau cherry. Fresh bigarreau cherry, bright raspberry and a hint of fresh/pulperous blackcurrant combined with hints of violet, chocolate, exotic spices and cardamom. The palate is fruity, elegant, balanced and reveals a nice definition, acidity, smoothness, harmony, brightness and purity of fruit. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright blackcurrant and more lightly juicy/fresh cherry notes combined with hints of lily, cornflower as well as fine hints of liquorice, chocolate, fine hints of toasted almond, tonka bean, spice, light tobacco. Good length. The tannins are supple and sapid. A typical Pauillac.
