Echo de Lynch Bages 2018 – Pauillac

The nose is fruity and offers poweras well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of ripe wild cassis, small berries and small notes of racy minerality associated with fine touches of ripe raspberry, flowers/varietals as well as hints of spices, green cardamom and very fine/discreet hints of Cuben pepper. This wine is marked by Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, precision, a fine suavity as well as a very finely tight grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe/juicy cassis, ripe/juicy blackberry and small notes of ripe/juicy raspberry associated with fine touches of tonka bean, toasted, a very discreet hint of oak as well as a hint of dark chocolate and caramelization on the finish. Tannins are very slightly dry. Good length.
