Donnachiara – Taurasi Riserva 2018 – Taurasi Riserva DOP

A nice powerful, fruity and intense nose. It expresses the notes of bright bigarreau cherry, bright boysenberry and, more slightly, – crushed violet plum, combined with a touch of balsamic and fine hints of star anise, pepper, local sage/grove and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, minerality, a tangy frame, good definition, tension, precision and a certain purity, precisely mastered richness. It expresses notes of morello cherry, crushed blackberry and, more slightly, crushed blue plum associated with touches of roasted berries as well as hints of balsamic, fresh rosemary and a subtle hint of sage and fresh tobacco. Good length, juiciness and freshness.
