Domaine Vigot Fabrice – Vieilles Vignes 2017 – Gevrey-Chambertin

The nose is fruity, elegant, well-built, racy and offers a small intensity. It reveals notes of cherry, wild strawberry and small notes of blackberry, fleshy cassis associated with touches of liquorice stick, violet as well as discreet hints of lily, spices and a very discreet hint of pepper (in the background). The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced, suave, well-built and offers fat, an acidulous/juicy frame as well as silkiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, strawberry and small notes of violet/rose associated with touches of blackberry, discreet hints of chocolate, nutmeg, toasted as well as an imperceptible hint of mild tobacco (in the background) and rose (on the finish). Tannins are well-built. Good length. A very fine power on the finish.
