Domaine Trapet – Cuvée 1859, Année 2019 – Gevrey-Chambertin

The nose is fruity, floral, elegant, beautifully racy, a certain power (all in finesse), juiciness and a beautiful precision. It reveals notes of ripe wild fresh blackberry, fresh cassis and slight notes of fresh/crunchy cherries associated with touch of iris, fresh lily as well as fine hints of licorice, fresh pepper, a discreet touch of bay laurel, an imperceptible hint of varietal/fresh flowers. The mouth is fruity, all in elegance, beautifully conducted, all in balance and offers juiciness, silkiness, a beautiful guideline, energy, suavity as well as a good definition. The wine expresses notes of wild blackberry, pulpy cherries and bright blueberry associates with touches of Quetsche plum, iris, rose as well as hint of cherry blossom, cardamone, a discreet hint of toasted almond, a very discreet hint cinnamon and a subtle hint local grove. Good length. Tannins are elegant, precise, silky and delicate.
