Domaine Roux, Héritage 2021 – Châteaumeillant

(60% Gamay, 40% Pinot Noir) The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is straight, refined and offers a juicy fruitiness associated with touches of spices and flowers. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, red cherry jam, morello cherry, red currant, raspberry, a touch of cranberries, as well as white pepper, dried rose, wild flowers, as well as a hint wild mint, smoke and leather in the background. On the palate, the wine offers a lot of gourmandise , juiciness of fruit, airiness and a delicate and melted tannic structure. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, morello cherry, compote red cherry, crushed raspberry, a touch of blueberry, as well as a hint of white pepper, nutmeg, wild flowers and dried rose, with a touch of dried mint, tobacco and leather in the background. The finish is persistent, enveloping, juicy, slightly sweet, but fresh, with a nice acidity and notes of tart cherry. A balanced and gourmand wine
