Domaine Rossignol-Trapet – Vieilles Vignes 2017 – Grevey-Chambertin

The nose is elegant, fruity, beautifully racy, beautifully built and offers a beautiful elegance, richness as well as structure. It reveals notes of juicy/fleshy black cherry, fleshy blackberry and small notes of crushed cassis associated with touches of fleshy strawberry as well as discreet hints of tonka bean, toasted, flowers, cardamom and sweet spices. The palate is beautifully defined, structured, racy, elegant, very discreetly tight, well-balanced, frank/net and offers a good aromatic precision, a beautiful mineral frame, tension as well as a small freshness (in the background). On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, black cherry and small notes of plum associated with touches of red berries as well as hints of violet, spices, cardamom and zan. Good length.
