Domaine Poulleau Père & Fils – Les Mondes Rondes 2018 – Côtes de Beaune

The nose is flowery. There are notes of red berries, fleshy purple plum and small notes of fleshy cassis associated with small touches of lily, rose, cherry as well as hints of gray pepper, zan and a very discreet hint of sweet spices. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality, an acidulous frame, generosity, fat, a small suavity, elegance as well as energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cherry, bright purple plum and small notes of bright blueberry associated with touches of acidulous / fresh redcurrants, lilies as well as hints of sweet spices, nutmeg and a subtle vanilla hint.
