Domaine Ponsard-Chevalier – La Fussière 2015 – Marange 1er Cru

The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers power as well as a slight intensity.It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and red berries associated with a touch of Quetsche plum, gray pepper as well as subtle hints of spices, a very slight minerality (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of flowers. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice definition, gourmandise, roundness, elegance, a nice fat, a slight suavity, a small tension, a slight unctuosity (in the background) as well as a slight acid frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blueberry, crushed strawberry and slight touches of plum associated with discreet hints of fresh raspberry, sweet spices, vanilla as well as an imperceptible touch of cardamom. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
