The nose is fruity, slightly powerful and offers a fine concentration as well as gourmandise. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crushed cassis and Quetsche plum combined with hints of strawberry, cherry, subtle hints of racy minerality as well as hints of dark chocolate, caramelized oak, spices, Bourbon vanilla and an imperceptible hint of flowers (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, fine, mineral, a bit aeral, gourmande, precise, elegant and offers delicacy, finesse, a slight unctuosity (in the background) as well as a slight acid frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of raspberry, red berries and slight notes of cherry associated with touches of cassis as well as fine touches of licorice / Zan, dark chocolate, tobacco, racy minerality and Bourbon vanilla. Tannins are slightly firm, elegant and very slightly tight. Beautiful persistence. (2022+)
