Domaine Moissenet-Bonnard, Les Tavannes 2019 – Pommard

The wine has a pale ruby colour. The nose is delicate, refined and shows a very slight evolution. The wine expresses notes of crisp red and black fruits (wild strawberry, red cherry, raspberry, blueberry, red currant and a hint of blackcurrant), dried herbs (mint, thyme) as well as an elegant floral side (cherry blossom, blueberry, lilac). There are also delicate spicy notes (liquorice, cloves, nutmeg), chocolate, and a very light touch of undergrowth (in the background). On the palate, the wine shows lightness and fluidity (in the good sense of the word), a pleasant and open fruity bouquet (lots of red fruits – strawberry, fresh raspberry, red currant, red cherry and a touch of tart blackcurrant and blueberry), underlined by a fresh herbaceousness (fresh mint, rosemary), floral (lily, cornflower) and slightly spicy (liquorice, white pepper, a touch of cinnamon). The tannins are fine but quite firm, and the finish is juicy, fruity and tangy. A refined, straightforward and well-crafted wine.
